This game is built on the idea that you can use the power of thought to interfere with the randomness of the universe. It sounds incredibly far-fetched, doesn’t it? Yet in recent years, we’ve encountered concepts everywhere—quantum mind power, the double-slit experiment, the simulation theory of the universe, and the notion that our thoughts constantly influence reality. So let’s put this to the test! :)
Before we begin, I’d like to briefly explain where all this comes from. About a century ago, when the double-slit experiment was conducted, questions arose about whether matter behaves as a wave or as particles. The twist is that matter exhibits different behavior depending on whether we observe it (i.e., gain information about which slit it passes through). This sparked debates that have continued for over a hundred years. Quantum physics is currently the most advanced theory we have for explaining matter, yet it still hasn’t fully resolved the point at which the wave function collapses. In quantum theory, matter exists in multiple states simultaneously, but we only ever observe it in one definite state. How and why this collapse occurs remains unexplained within the theory itself. Today, this is known as the Measurement Problem.
One bold hypothesis proposed to solve the Measurement Problem suggests that this collapse is closely linked to consciousness observing matter. Experiments conducted at the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Laboratory have shown that there is indeed a tiny—but statistically noticeable—effect of human consciousness on random systems. However, some critics dismiss these results due to perceived instability or methodological flaws.
Nevertheless, today we can easily access online quantum random number generators. The generator used in this game pulls data directly from a public website provided by the Department of Quantum Science at The Australian National University.
Once you start the game, a 30-second countdown timer begins in the bottom left corner. During the first 20 seconds, you are encouraged to quiet your mind and clear away distracting thoughts. This phase will be indicated by the word “Silence” appearing at the top of the screen. Any type of relaxation or meditative method works fine as long as you silence your mind. In the final 10 seconds, you’ll be prompted to focus intensely on influencing the upcoming random number. What you do during this time is up to your imagination. You might visualize the highest possible number on the screen (99) or even higher. Alternatively, try to feel the joy you would experience upon seeing a high number, or imagine the particles in the quantum uncertainty shifting according to your desire to produce a large result. Personally, I find this part quite flexible. During this period, the word “Focus” will appear on the screen to remind you to concentrate.
After the 10-second, the system will display the generated number. Shortly afterward, a new round will begin. Naturally, a single result won’t provide convincing evidence. The most compelling indication of success comes when you consistently achieve high numbers across multiple rounds. Therefore, I recommend playing at least 10 rounds. ;)
Below, you’ll see indicators showing the average of the numbers generated each round and how much they deviate from the theoretical average. Obviously, the higher your average compared to the expected value after several rounds, the stronger the claim that you influenced randomness becomes. :)
So, I invite anyone who believes in psychic powers to come and smash those scores! If you get any wild results, don’t forget to share them in the guestbook! :)

PS: This game is not well designed as the experiments done in PEARS Lab. After all we pull the number from the shared source. So It may not work as expected but you still got a chance:D
